To commemorate the third year of their “Chousensha” brand (a play on words for “SUPERTANK”), IO Data Device is currently displaying the “Shirobako” Network Attached Storage (NAS) kit. The interesting thing here is the iTunes support and price point (under 20,000 yen). iTunes will recognize the iTunes folders containing audio files on the Shirobako (“white box”), at which point the files can be listened to or transferred to an iPod. IO Data said they’re also looking into a function to allow the iPod to sync directly with the Shirobako, which could turn out to be more exciting.
