The two mile radius surrounding Japan’s Fukushima nuclear plant may be out of commission for longer than anyone had previously thought; according to the Daily Yomiuri, land within about 3km could be kept off-limits “for several decades.” It may also, according to the NY Times, be quite some time before residents within a 12-mile radius can return to their homes.
