Pathé News was perhaps the most well-regarded news agency of the 1900s—and now, its entire 85,000-video newsreel archive is available to watch for free on YouTube.
The stash of videos contains from as far back as 1896 right up to 1976. There’s clips from the the First and Second World Wars, scenes of the 1937 Hindenburg Disaster, and, err, a video of a morbidly obese three-year old being tempted with chocolate?
