A major new card game launching is always interesting, but few launches have managed to capture a buzz like Lorcana. Disney and Ravensburger’s hot new card game launched to frenzy and sold out decks over the summer, and is about to come back for round two with its first expansion. io9 has an exclusive look at one of the new heroes coming along.
Lorcana: Rise of the Floodborn will add over 200 new cards to the game, incorporating characters and iconography inspired by the likes of Snow White, Jungle Book, Great Mouse Detective, Zootopia, Raya and the Last Dragon, and many more—as players take part in a race to recover King Triton’s trident, lost in a magical storm that has transformed the land in a see of floodborn magical creatures. One of the new cards you can check out below: Beauty and the Beast’s Beast, who can check other characters for a pip of damage when he enters the field.
