Windows XP is dead, Windows XP will live forever! Windows 7 Professional buyers will continue to have an option to downgrade two gens to Windows XP for the next 10 years, according to Microsoft.
Windows 7 Ultimate users will continue to have the option for 5 more years, until 2015. Why such a long window? Well, a Microsoft spokesman says it would be confusing to drop the option while Windows 7’s lifecycle is still in effect. Fair enough!
