It's supposed to be mammoth meat. From the legendary TV anime series "Hajime Ningen Gyators" [sp?].

And I was fully aware of my desire to eat mammoth meat since watching the show as a kid, so was ecstatic to hear of this going on sale. Too bad I'm not in Japan to give it a go :-p
