A British student is claiming to have designed the first bittorrent client for mobile phones. The software is called WizBit and it utilized the 3G network to transfer large files in the torrent-like fashion.

With the additions of larger storage space and high-speed connection on cellphones it was only a matter of time before piracy made the leap to a mobile platform. Currently the code is written in Python for Nokia, meaning only Symbian-powered phones could launch and use this application. WizBit is still an unfinished project, but the developer hopes to have it out by July 7.
