The Mindstorms robot was programmed using a Motorola Droid, which runs on an Arm A8 processor clocked at 550MHz, to show the speed of their chips. A specially-built app takes a photo of the cube's side facing the camera, with the commands being sent to the Mindstorms robot over Bluetooth. [ESC via MAKE via Technabob]

Arggh! there goes a...snake a snake!

Does the Droid just take one picture of each side and then know the entire algorithm of how to solve it from there or does it continuously take pictures of the cube and throw out demands as its going?
