Oh, WinFS, we hardly knew ye! Sure, I was always a FAT32 guy, but WinFS promised to be… umm… a filesystem for Windows Vista. It was supposed to be great because like each file would be an object and that would make things so cool like allowing you to use inheritance and like meta-data and… umm… just cool stuff. Instead, they’re using WinFS-esque components in MS SQL and ADO.NET and might create an add-on for Vista, later, you know, if they feel like it.
