The aerospace agency is calling its new music and news outlet Third Rock Radio — a "space station" that NASA is hoping will register with tech-savvy young adults.
According to a statement issued by NASA, the station will feature regular updates on NASA's latest missions and discoveries, along with "a healthy dose of great New Rock music of all kinds, along with some that you already know and love."
"NASA constantly is looking for new and innovative ways to engage the public and inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers," said David Weaver, associate administrator for NASA's Office of Communications. "We have led the way in innovative uses of new media and this is another example of how the agency is taking advantage of these important communication tools."
