This video of Gaiman reading Dr. Seuss’s iconic children’s book, just posted to his blog, is one of the best things we’ve seen all week.

Gaiman read the book in recognition of the Worldbuilders 2014 charity – a philanthropic effort orchestrated by epic fantasy author Patrick Rothfuss and founded on the premise of “geeks doing good” – hitting its $500,000 stretch goal. Via the charity’s website:

Neil could read the telephone book (remember those?) and we’d be happy, but no, he’s going to tackle one of the most enduring pieces of modern literature: Green Eggs and Ham. We think we’ll like it, Sam I Am.

We couldn’t agree more. Now if only we could get Gaiman to read some of these renditions of Dr. Seuss, we could die happy.
