The Adventures of Tintin
Producer Kathleen Kennedy says they are no longer planning on adapting the Tintin story Prisoners of the Sun, which was just something they kicked around in early discussions with sequel writer Anthony Horowitz. She says they would like to introduce another classic Tintin character to the movies — specifically, the hearing-impaired scientist Professor Calculus. When asked whether that means the second movie will adapt The Calculus Affair, in which the character is kidnapped, Kennedy said that was a very definite possibility, but made clear that no firm decisions had been made yet. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter
Here's the poster for Wanted director Timur Bekmambetov's new film, in which... well, you've read the title, you can figure it out. It's a lenticular poster, so it shows two different views of Lincoln, depending on how you look at it - one of him in the White House, the other in what I can only assume is vampire-hunting country. Specific Impulse
Kevin VanHook, the creator of the comic Bloodshot, is working on an adaptation of this novel by former NASA pilot Charles Justiz, which reportedly includes a mix of "a sentient computer... gangs of Vegas mobsters; near Earth objects that are more than they seem to be... a crack assassin... [and] a strange explosion that kills everybody in its radius but the two protagonists, who then start manifesting supersensory powers." [Bleeding Cool]
Underworld: Awakening
Co-director Bjorn Stein suggests what we probably could have already assumed - if this movie does even remotely well, get ready for plenty more of these things:
"[This movie] is the beginning of something new. I'll say that our ending is totally leaving the door open for a future."
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Josh Applebaum and Andre Nemec, who have written everything from the latest Mission: Impossible movie to the ill-fated American Life on Mars remake, have reportedly been hired to write the latest attempt to reboot the TMNT franchise. [Variety]

Doctor Who
Steven Moffat offers yet another take on the whole "David Yates is making a Doctor Who movie" thing, basically saying it was just an errant fantasy on Yates's part:
David (Yates) was talking a little out of turn, there; a very, very brilliant director, but no — the film as described by him, of course we're not going to do that — a film that contradicts the television series, it would be a heathen thing to do ... I would be 'beheaded' to do such a thing!
It would be wonderful to do a Doctor Who film, but when and if we did - and hopefully we will be doing it — it will be very much an offshoot of the television series and we'll be part of it, and it will star the television Doctor, of course — anything else would be heresy!

Ryan Murphy discusses how the finale will center on the fallout of Vivien's death in the last episode:
I don't wanna say too much about it. It's a longer episode for us. It's sort of an extended version. The final episode was built around the Dylan dilemma [as Ben Harmon]: Your beloved wife and your daughter are dead and you know that and you personally feel responsible - what do you do? Do you go? Do you stay? Do you bring people in to help you contact them? We deal with what's going to happen to this family. And then we deal of course with what happened to the baby? And what is Constance going to do? Constance is a survivor, so how is she going to survive this chain of events? What is she going to do? Also, what's going to happen to that house?
From the finale, will we know more about season 2? Any clues?
I think so. I think that when people watch the finale next week that they will definitely have a sense of where the series is headed, but if they don't, I will be happy to tell them. Yes, I think people will have an idea.

Let me just tell you something: I was so excited once I became a ghost. The ghosts have all the fun! [Laughs] Ghosts get to have nice outfits. Ghosts don't have to wear pregnancy bellies. The Vampire Diaries
Here's the synopsis for episode ten, "The New Deal", which apparently is not a lengthy flashback episode about how vampires helped America get through the Great Depression, as I had just sort of assumed would be the case:
A REASON TO FEEL GUILTY - Stefan (Paul Wesley) has hidden the coffins containing the bodies of Klaus' (Joseph Morgan) family, and Klaus quickly turns to violence to convince Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) that no one will be safe until he finds Stefan and gets his family back. Tyler (Michael Trevino) continues to make the most of his new abilities as a hybrid, but he has to face the disturbing consequences of his actions as well. After a terrifying incident, Elena and Alaric (Matt Davis) grow increasingly concerned about Jeremy's (Steven R. McQueen) attitude and, ultimately, his safety. Alaric meets the beautiful Dr. Fell (guest star Torrey Devitto, "Pretty Little Liars"), who is intrigued with his amazing ability to heal. While trying to strike a deal with Klaus, Elena delivers news that truly shocks him.
