Artist and illustrator Duncan Halleck is based in Brussels, Belgium—but his concept art is distinctly otherworldly. And he has a story in mind while he’s creating his art. Instead of a standard caption, here’s what he wrote about Recon, pictured above:
“…finally, their reconnaissance mission completed on this strange yet familiar new planet, they flagged down a passing survey ship for the long trip back to base camp. They hoped these new core samples would contain what they had searched so long for…”
This piece takes a more humorous approach:
“life was much easier with the new help…”
