Sadly there's no movie version of your chemistry textbook to make studying easier. But someone out there with either a love for science, or a hatred for cramming, has created this Periodic Quest board game that tries its best to make learning fun.
Thankfully, school sets the fun bar pretty low. There are multiple ways to play Periodic Quest, like using the various element cards to recreate formulas for chemical compounds, so it might actually be an enjoyable way to spend an evening that leaves you feeling like you've learned something. Because a knowledge of the periodic table and basic chemistry concepts doesn't look too shabby on a resume—at least compared to a knowledge of the ins and outs of feeding hungry hippos. ThinkGeek's got it for $25, and the game is rated for kids as young as eight so it's not only for those who are college bound. [ThinkGeek]
