The newest addition to the Plustek scanner family is the OpticSlim M12 Plus portable scanner. The only real addition to this scanner from the older Plustek M12 is that it can now scan legal-sized documents and create PDFs by pressing the scan button. Nothing earth-shattering, though it can scan up to three pages per minute. One not-so-happy surprise is that it still uses USB 1.1, which you’d think would have been changed to 2.0 on the upgraded product. Comes with a scanner mount kit, carrying pouch, a base stand, a calibration sheet and sensor cleaning paper for $179.
