Much as Ryland Grace and Rocky went on an epic adventure, Project Hail Mary has been on its own adventure. The film was a box office hit earlier this year and took longer than usual to be released for digital download. From there, it came to streaming, but on MGM+, a service that’s not quite as popular as some of the big names. A physical release was then also announced, but still, fans awaited the real news: for the film to be streaming in a place where they could actually see it.

That news is finally here. MGM just announced that Project Hail Mary will debut on Prime Video on July 3. Yes, later this week, right in time for the long holiday weekend. Here’s a brand new clip to celebrate.

As Rocky would say, “It’s time, go.”

If you look at Project Hail Mary‘s journey to this point, the whole thing really has been incredibly managed. The film was kept in theaters long enough to force people to head out to see it. Then, it was released on digital when there was still enough demand to make that news important too. You could go see it in a theater, or you could buy it. And while MGM’s parent company, Amazon, always seemed like the logical landing place for the film, giving it a quick, exclusive stint on MGM+ gave that smaller streamer a few additional subscriptions.

But now, though, Project Hail Mary is back home, just like Grace and Rocky. And since Prime Video is one of those ultra-popular services people subscribe to—like Netflix, Disney+, or Hulu—we’d imagine it’ll get plenty of new fans and plenty of re-watches.

Are you going to set aside some time to re-watch Project Hail Mary this weekend? Let us know.
