Just a quick update on the PS3. It's been confirmed that the PlayStation 3 will not ship with an HDMI cable. After Sony's been talking up how they will be "true HD", and how HDMI will kick component's ass, they now decide they can't spring the $5 for an HDMI cable? Great.
Yeah, not a fan of the PS3, and i dont particularly side with the fanboys up above (yeah allot of assumptions are being made)
But $5 is a HUGE amount of money on this type of production run. Well, huge for a lonely consumer like myself. Lets see, recently they announced they would being making like 2 million right? So thats 2 million x $5 = $10,000,000. And with sony scraping the bucket compared to their glory days, i'm not surprised.
Plus the fact that only a fraction of the population has HDMI enabled devices. But i also think that one is somewhat nullified by the fact that the lifespan of this console is upposed to be 5-6 years (not the oh so dreadful and stupid 4 years microsoft is pushing *sarcasm*) technically it would be nice for those that will get HDMI in the future.
