The long draught of Moore-less television is over! Battlestar Galactica lord Ron D. Moore is getting yet another television series inspired by the Diana Gabaldon book series.
Deadline is reporting that Starz has ordered up a 16-episode series of Outlander, the time-traveling, Scottish love story. The show is an adaptation of Gabaldon’s book series centered around a World War II nurse, who accidentally travels back in time to 1743 and is caught in the middle raiding border clans in Scotland.
So that’s Outlander on Starz and Helix on Syfy. Can’t. Wait. Filming starts this October in Scotland.
