RWC introduced the “Thunderbird,” which appears to be nothing more than a simple USB file transfer cable – but that’s the point. If you’ve ever tried to use one of these kinds of devices to transfer files over from one PC to the next, you’ll understand that not having to install any drivers or software is an excellent idea. Also, people who don’t have networking hardware (or who don’t feel like trying to get Windows Networking to work correctly) should dig it. Providing the connected PC runs Windows ME or above, a piece of software preinstalled on the cable will be available for simple transfer of files.
Unfortunately, Mac users are SOL. That’s okay, though, because everyone knows Macs transfer files via magical rainbow dust.
