Seagate is completely discontinuing its entire range of 7200rpm 2.5-inch drives later this year. Blame SSDs.



Then I sure hope to fuck that they start driving down the price of 500GB SSD drives, because I'll pay $175-199 for one, but I will NOT pay over $400 for one. Also, why the hell are they discontinuing it's 7200RPM line, instead of the 5400RPM line? That's just common sense. I guess I'll have to rely on WD for reasonably priced drives that aren't only slightly bigger than a flash drive...
