Too often we fall into the trap of gushing over a pen-knife with 1,000 different tools—most of which we'll never use. The Floral Knife, Victorinox's latest flick-knife, costs just $17. [Victorinox via Sub-Studio]

I carry a Swiss Knife everywhere I go (minues the airport). It's handy beyond words and not overly complicated, but one thing I learned at random from it is that Wenger Swiss Army Knives are better than than those made by Victorinox. The scissors on Victorinox's have thinner blades and the spring that pushes them back open is just a simple spring made of folded wire that feels very flimsy. Wenger's scisssors, on the other hand, have thicker blades and a resistance bar that's very solid and reliable.
