In the race to create a palm-sized projector that's actually useful, Sony has entered the fray with a projector it calls the world's smallest. Using innovative tricks involving both LCDs and LEDs, the 800x600 projector consumes just 30 watts of power yet projects images at a brightness of 50 lumens.

That's not a whole lot of light, so Sony has figured out how to make a proprietary screen that minimizes external light reflections while maximizing the light reflected from its projector. Neat trick. Sony didn't announce when the product would ship or at what cost.
