To promote the UK release of The Amazing Spider-Man Blu-ray and DVD, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment shot this pretty cool action video of a stuntman dressed up as Peter Parkour (get it?). The only problem is that the video was shot entirely using gear manufactured by Sony’s digital imaging competitors. Come on guys! WHAT HAPPENED TO SYNERGY?!

Sony’s been making excellent digital imaging gear in recent years, which is why we’re scratching our heads here. The video produced for Sony by Infinite Wisdom, which didn’t use Sony’s snazzy new action camera, excellent compact NEX cameras, or its new flagship DSLR, the A99. Instead, according to the video’s description:

Shot on the HD HERO2® camera from http://GoPro.com, Canon EOS 7D and Canon EOS 5D Mark II

We realize this video was produced by an independent production company and that companies use competing brands to produce marketing material all the time, but seriously Sony, don’t link to the competition on your own YouTube page. [PocketLint]
