Spider-Man 4 isn't even close to filming until next year, and already Sony is getting ready to crank out the fifth and a sixth films.
James Vanderbilt, who wrote the first draft of the Spider-Man 4 screenplay, has been asked to pen Spider-Man 5 and 6 by Sony. According to the trades, many of the ideas that Vanderbilt had for the fourth film, which were later edited out in rewrites, will be incorporated into the two new filims, which will feature a two-part storyline.

And yet, there is no real plan for either of these additional movies to be made. And we'd really like to see the look on Tobey Maguire's face when they asked him to stay on for an additional two movies, even if they do attempt to film them back-to-back.
