On a day containing the news of Stranger Things Funko Pop figures being on their way, it seemed unlikely anything bigger would arrive from the world of the Upside Down. Netflix is trying, though, with a silly parody news report tied to the show.
Described as “an archival newsreel from 5 WIYZ Hawkins, Indiana” by the Netflix YouTube, the video is of a show called Minute by Minute with Brenda Wood. To say anything beyond that would rob you of Brenda’s deadpan Stranger Things references.
I’m going to say the Funko Pops are bigger news, but this is still fun. Anything about Barb’s mom jeans or Eggo theft is okay in my book.
