Apart from the new Vaio type H desktop we just told you about, Sony announced new Vaio type A, S, and F notebooks. The type A series now includes FeliCa contactless IC support, and adds a model with a 15.4″ screen to the lineup. Vaio type S is renewed with better specifications such as a Pentium M 750, 512MB of RAM, an 80GB hard drive, and GeForce Go 6200. Finally, the type Fs contain a range of specification improvements across all models, but of note would be the new “TV Port Replicator,” an optional MPEG-2 hardware encoder board available for about 30,000 yen. Sadly, it seems Sony has omitted FeliCa support in the type S and F notebooks.
