Blade Runner 2049 promises to return audiences to a world that helped define modern cyberpunk. For this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, that means transporting fans back to the future… and yes, that includes an actual transport.
The Blade Runner Experience at Comic-Con is both immersive and impressive, recreating a street set for Los Angeles in 2049 with dozens of actors and real props from the film. However, the real star of the show is the Oculus VR ride (with motion chairs), which puts fans in the driver’s seat of a Spinner as they chase a rogue replicant through Los Angeles. Check out io9’s video journey of the Blade Runner 2049 Experience.
