Totally abandoning the idea of subtlety in advertising, Microsoft went all out to let people in Shanghai know that Vista has arrived, splashing "Windows Vista" on the 421-meter tall Jin Mao Tower. Yes, the whole tower.


Here's a handy rule of thumb: By definition, no ad with any dimension that exceeds 1000 ft. is classy. Besides, I doubt that just because a sign is super-big it's going to suddenly compel people in China to pay more than a buck for Windows.
