The “Swipe” is Teac’s new USB memory with fingerprint verification, available up to 1GB capacities. They’ll really want to give a second thought to that name if they ever decide to release this anywhere outside of Japan, but it does seem to have a range of protection features — access to secure areas, data encryption, PC locking, and so on. It’s nearly $500 for the 1GB version, though, so “Swipe” may be a good name after all.
