If you needed a reason to pay attention to the road when you drive, this would be it. In Highlands Ranch, Colorado, a 17-year old driver, who was said to be text messaging and driving at the same time, hit a bicyclist. The cyclist died two days later, and though the police don’t believe it was an intentional act, their investigation did show that the driver was paying more attention to his cellphone than to the road. The teen is now facing up to one year in prison and a charge of careless driving resulting in death.
