As thousands of runners prep their NYC Marathon playlists in advance of Sunday's race, Spotify had the bright idea to quantify the most-played tracks by borough. What do they reveal, besides the fact that everyone loves Haim? Let's take a look!

For Manhattanites, it's all about Top 40 radio and indie-pop tacks—no surprises there. Meanwhile, in Staten Island, teeny-popper hits rule (keep in mind, these numbers only reflect Spotify users, who tend to skew young). The Bronx's favorites read like a Hot 97 playlist, while Brooklyn's reads like an Urban Outfitters soundtrack. Queens, much like its population, is the most diverse batch in the mix. We threw Spotify's numbers into map form to make them a little easier to read, below.

I always feel a little salty when i see bands "i liked first" end up on these lists, but i refuse to get mad, because i dont want to be a dirty hipster about it.

On that note.... I do not understand Arcade Fire. I think they suck and their music sucks. Its like listening to the ultimate derivation of all the hipster douche between portland, minneapolis and williamsburg, putting it in a blender, and then spitting it out while holding old-tyme instruments.
