H. Jon Benjamin of Archer and Bob’s Burgers fame narrates this funny animated short, in which the quest to fix a couple’s wifi is turned into mythic video game adventure.
Ballad of the Wifi Hero is adapted from Mike Lacher’s prose piece “In Which I Fix My Girlfriend’s Grandparents’ WiFi and Am Hailed as a Conquering Hero,” which first appeared on McSweeney’s Internet Tendency. Animator Jesse Benjamin turned the tale into a pixellated short film filled with drama and the horrors that lurk behind the armchair, and H. Jon Benjamin adds just the right dash of faux gravitas to the miniature epic.
