This fall, America is going to send a manned mission to Mars, and it’s not going to go well. But before all that, any astronauts slated to take this trip would obviously undergo lots of tests—one of which might be an extended period in isolation. And that’s the subject of the latest viral video for The Martian.
Directed by Ridley Scott, the film stars Matt Damon as Mark Watney, the crew member who gets stranded. He’ll travel to Mars alongside Jessica Chastain, Kate Mara, Michael Pena and Sebastian Stan. They’re all in the great video above, which not only perfectly characterizes each astronaut in the film, but provides interesting scientific questions and humor along the way. That’s the same tone in author Andy Weir’s book, which the movie is based on, and it should be great to see on the big screen. For now though, this little taste is pretty fantastic.
