Well, it looks the same as ever, but Apple pumped up the Pro in MacBook Pro with the speediest of speedy new guts and graphics.

This is still very much a pro rig, and the specs seal the deal. The 2012 MacBook Pro is stuffed with Intel's latest processing guts: Ivy Bridge has arrived for Apple, and this is, simply, the fastest mobile computing tech you can find. Processors will run up to a 2.6 GHz Core i7 with Nvidia's latest Kepler-powered GeForce GT 650, with up to a gig of video memory. That thing smokes. The new chips are Intel's most efficient, coolest-running, energy-saving silicon blasters. The 15-inchers will start at $1800, 13-inchers at $1200.

DISCUSSION
Talking about performance and hardware about a Mac is beside the point.
40% of what Apple sells is the brand and the "I'm better than thou because of the laptop I'm using" self-love, and it is reflected in Mac's prices. A PC with a similar hardware build probably only cost half, but hardcore fanboys would still refuse to even consider it.
