In 1970, Dock Ellis threw a no-hitter high as shit on LSD. In 2009, NoMasTV and artist James Blagden made an awesome short film about the Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher's hallucinogen-fueled triumph.

More recently, Ellis' story was given full-length documentary treatment in No No: A Dockumentary, a film about Ellis that offers a more comprehensive overlook of his unique career. Here's the trailer:

No No: A Dockumentary opens in theaters this weekend, and I'm so excited to watch it I decided to watch the NoMas short again. It's still excellent. We should all watch them both and talk about it. We should not play professional sports on lab-grade acid.
