Since the App Store got ratings a few months ago, it was only a matter of time before the first Rated M game popped up. Well, that time is now.
Adult Swim Amateur Surgeon: The folks at Adult Swim are to thank for the first Rated M iPhone game, featuring the following: Frequent/Intense Mature/Suggestive Themes; Infrequent/Mild Horror/Fear Themes; Frequent/Intence Profanity or Crude Humor; Frequent/Intense Cartoon or Fantasy Violence; Infrequent/Mild Sexual Content or Nudity; Infrequent/Mild Realistic Violence; Infrequent/Mild Acohol, Tobacco or Drug Use or Reference. Oh, as for the game? It's like Operation, but with more blood and swearing. Enjoy! $5.
And some non-adult highlights from the week:
ZeptoPad: The cool collaborative drawing/whiteboad app with automatic syncing to the web we previewed a few weeks ago is now out. A free version includes all of the drawing and composition options, but no web sync. Free/$10
Online Euchre: I am from the Midwest, therefore, I know and love Euchre-the Hearts-like partners card game. Playing Euchre against a computer is retarded, so Online Euchre being the first iPhone Euch game to include play against real people online is super. $4
Smart Dial: Smart Dial is a cool looking Dialer app that lets you quickly access your contacts by typing out a word from their name T9-style with the dialpad automatically, saving you a trip inside your full contacts list. It won't fully replace your dialer (SDK restrictions limit voicemail or recent/missed calls integration, sadly), but if you have a ton of contacts, it would be useful. $2
