It’s hard to believe that this house in Japan is real, but it is. Not just a project, but a home. Designed by Sou Fujimoto Architects, its metal structure and the division of space defy any convention or logic.
In other words: I don’t know what the heck is going on here. And yet, I feel incapable of resisting its weird charm. It kicks ass. According to the architect, “in one way the house is like a single space, but each room is also a tiny space of its own. The clients said they wanted to live like nomads within the house – they didn’t have specific plans for each room. The house looks radical but for the clients it seemed quite natural.”
Would you live in such a structure? [Archdaily via Today and Tomorrow]
