The latest trailer for Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Apocalypse was jam-packed with action and revelations. There was that big cameo at the end, Quicksilver’s admission, massive set pieces and yet, somehow, maybe it felt familiar. Maybe that’s because the animated X-Men series has covered it all.
YouTube user Philysteak took the audio and shots from the latest trailer (which we broke down here) and edited it with very, very similar footage from the ’90s TV show. Check it out, it’s pretty much perfect.

The trailer is so good, in fact, it got tweeted out not only by Singer, but the film’s producer too.
