This duck burger topped with duck confit is a delicious tongue punch

Duck is delicious. Fatty and rich and more flavorful and tongue punchy than chicken in every single way that I’m drooling over this duck burger topped with duck confit, pickled red cabbage, gruyere cheese and drizzled in hoisin sauce. It’s like if America and Asia and France teamed up to make a burger without beef.

Looks great except for that cheese that ruins it. What’s with Americans needing to put cheese on every single darn thing. I ordered a cioppino the other night and they threw cheese in it! Why?! Ruined it. I like cheese without anything, but not on my food. Not only does it add calories and unnecessary cholesterol but it smells. Fettuccine? Everyone loves it. I think it smells like barf. It was the hardest thing for me to smell when I used to work in restaurants.
