Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman, known around the world for his playful, super-sized animal sculptures, has unveiled his most recent creation: a daydreaming bunny looking towards the sky.
As DesignBoom reports, the huge white rabbit lounges lazily on the grassy arch of a former Taiwanese military bunker, with outstretched arms and floppy ears resting comfortably on the landscape.
“The legends of Chang-e and Jade Rabbit enchanted and inspired me to make the work,” says Hofman. “The Moon Rabbit is laying against the bunker, dreaming and thinking about life and dreaming the impossible possible and creating its own true stories.”
