This is what famous works of art have to watch forever and ever

Have you ever wondered what the sculptures and paintings in museums and galleries have to stare at all day? Me neither, but a Tumblr called What They See did, taking photos from the point of view of famous works of art. The results are surprisingly funny, and somehow melancholic at the same time.

Above: The Little Fourteen-Year-Old Dancer by Edgar Degas

Portrait of a Man Holding Gloves by Rembrandt.

Greek marble bust of a youth by Unknown

Night by Aristide Maillol

Marsyas by Balthasar Permoser

Everyone should start doing this whenever they go to a museum and send the photos to this What They See.
