The live-action Akira has stagnated for the time being, but here’s a snapshot at what it could’ve looked like when the project was attached to Blinky™ director Ruairi Robinson a few years back. These sketches by concept artist Sylvain Despretz (Gladiator, Alien Resurrection) don’t offer a cohesive vision for the film, but that certainly appears to be a bottle-blond Kaneda running around.
