Vodafone, you sly dogs. You almost got me! But you know, there’s just something that struck me as odd about the TS 921 you announced today. And now I’ve figured it out. Did you really think I’d miss this? I even said the TS 921 “looks strikingly similar to a few Japanese models I ve seen,” and boy did I hit the nail on the head.
Based solely on product pics, I’d say the Vodafone TS 921 is the Vodafone 902T in Japan. And because it is the 902T in Japan, we know that the TS 921 also has a 1.1″ 64,000 color subdisplay, Infrared and Bluetooth support, twin stereo speakers, and even TV-out. Hell, it even supports TV phone and QR codes. But who knows if all the functionality remained when it left Japan?
Update: Well, it turns out I should read my press releases a little more closely. Vodafone did in fact state that these are the same phones. Oops!
