Watch a building get blown up in destructive slow motion

Sure slow motion is great for a lot of things but the effect is probably at its dramatic best when it captures explosions. Preferably building explosions. Preferably building explosions with a guy running away from said exploding building. The slow motion experts of the Slow Mo Guys laced a building with explosives and blew the thing up… in slow motion.

The slow burn begins at the 5:40-ish mark and really starts exploding at 5:45 (it’s embedded below). It’s amazing to see the first initial burst followed by a peaceful pause that makes you question if that’s it and then a huge fireball exploding every possible way out the building that smacks your senses silly.
