Drones have been capturing some spectacular nature photography lately, but this video of a drone getting up close and personal with an exploding volcano is pretty astonishing.

The video was shot by Shaun O’Callaghan and offers a different view of just how powerful a volcanic eruptions can look from directly above. Pretty incredibly, he says that his drone, a DJI Phantom, survived its brush with the volcano.
