Droids don’t last forever, and R2-D2 was recently laid to rest by a grizzly bear at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Of course, some unscrupulous zookeepers had filled his circuits with delicious ursine treats, so you can’t blame the bear for poking around. Also, R2-D2 is made of cardboard. Didn’t see that one coming.
