For their short film Natural Beauty, directing duo Lernert & Sander applied a year’s worth of makeup over nine hours to (fantastically named) model Hannelore Knuts. Remember, too much foundation will turn you into Gloppy the Molasses Monster from Candyland.
What was Lernert & Sander’s mission statement? “We wanted to apply 365 layers of makeup in one day to see how much is needed to go from a natural look to an outrageous one.” Well, I suppose that’s as good a reason as any.
