This is supposedly the world's most remote restaurant; if you make it there you get to eat lunch for free. On the one hand, what a deal! On the other, HOLY SHIT LOOK AT THIS PATH:

Unless this place is serving the best food in the entire world, there's no way you could get me to make that trek. Holy mother of god. [Core77]

DISCUSSION

Common sense told me this restaurant idea was too ridiculous to be true. So after some research (a few short minutes of Google, Bing, etc) I have found no evidence of a restaurant at the top of this Mount Hua. I did find evidence this is nothing more than a hoax email that gets passed around: [answers.yahoo.com]

The closest "official" looking info (because it's in Chinese) I could find about this place was here: [translate.google.com]

I know the Gizmodo writers are not journalists, but I think a little more research before posting (what appears to me to be) a blatantly misleading article would be in order. Flame me all you like, but I believe the rush to be first and/or have that "wow" factor to drum up hits is completely superseded by looking stupid when the info is quite probably wrong.
