Great news for Xbox 360 fans like us whose consoles are on the verge of crapping out! Microsoft's extended their 90 day warranty on all new and used Xbox 360s to a full year. This goes retroactively for current Xbox 360s as well, so if you've had your console for less than a year, you're now qualified to get free repairs.

Even greater news comes for people who've paid for repairs already. Microsoft says you will be "eligible for reimbursement" on all repairs you've paid for within that year! Go call up Microsoft today so you can get some moolah for Christmas. Actually, reimbursement checks take about ten weeks to come, so that's probably more like St. Patrick's Day money than Christmas money.

my 360 died today, i called them up, took about 15 minutes, they're sending a coffin..i mean a box...so i can send them my console...and the girl told me that they were doing the extended warranty thing for everybody. the cool thing is that they won't bug you with questions and stuff like that, if you just tell them that you've done everything the computer told you to do, they'll just register you and send you the box. let's see what happens
