It was only a matter of time until Google started integrating the Nest ecosystem of products with Google Now. It paid handsomely for Nest after all. Today, the company is taking the first step towards the anticipated synergy with the Nest Thermostat.

Head over to Google’s Works With Nest portal and you’ll be able to enable voice control for your Nest Thermostat directly from Google Now. So instead of having to navigate all the way to your Nest app, you’ll now be able to simply bark a series of commands into your phone or tablet by activating Google Now. Commands you can use include:

change temperature to 20 degrees

set the temperature at 75 degrees

change the temperature to 68

turn the thermostat to 73 degrees fahrenheit

set Nest at 22 celsius

There’s an exhaustive list of usable commands here. Look forward to Google Now integration for Nest Protect and Dropcam soon, we suppose. Gosh, love Google Now. [Google via Android Police]
